Annabelle and Jonah

Annabelle with her hair just brushed and put in piggy tails style. Usually it is hard to get her to put her hair up in ponytail. She likes her hair down. Always stealing my thin wire headbands. Sigh! She look so pretty, her hair shiny and blonde. Her smile demure. I can see a lot of her older half sister Jasmine in her. I'd have to set up the new printer with scanner so I can scan some old pictures and compare the two sister.

Jonah, my mischievous boy, always wanting to play catch. I'd have to run and catch him to do his diaper change or put on his shoes. He love playing. Sometime it's frustrating for me. Heh! Such a darling cute boy! I also can see a lot of his older two half brothers, Justin and Joshua in him. Again, I really need to set up that printer.

I am blessed having both of them. They play together a lot. Jonah know what she likes and often will take away from her, making her chase him to get whatever he had taken. Annabelle does the same to him. They love watching 'Signing Times' cd tapes. They love swimming. They love asking, "car?". Cuz if we say car, that means, they put on their shoes and get their drink filled up and go out. They're up to whatever we are going to.

I really am blessed. What more can I say?

Snake in the house! Eeeek!

Every morning without fail, our kids will come to our bed to my side and slide in with me to snuggle and sleep a wee bit more. I always check their diapers (Annabelle wear trainer) and decide if they can wait or just gotta get it change. I groan and got up and told the kids, they gotta get their diapers changed and walked toward their room.

Out the corner of my eye I thought I saw something moved in the dining room. I turned and looked and 'Eeek! A snake!'

And that morning, Isaac was already gone to teach his ASL class. I wasn't sure what to do. I showed our kids the snake and said the snake is bad. It does not belong in the house. The kids had fun watching the snake slithering around.

The snake! (Pardon the dog hair and dust.)

Close up of the snake.

The best picture of the snake. See how its' eyes glow? Creepy!

I got rid of the snake by brooming it away toward the glass sliding door in the great room. The snake cooperate!

I was surprised how our dogs were not even concerned with this snake. I guess they know this snake is harmless. Thank goodness!!!

Trimming the palm trees

It was time to trim the palm trees. So Senor Isaac pull up his jeans and put on an old white t-shirt. Put on his sneakers and gloves and set out to work. Pulled out the ladder and tools he'd need for trimmings.

He had already trimmed 3 palm trees before he realized there was no pictures of him at work. So I cheerfully took pictures of him at work and the palm trees.

A close-up of him hard at work.

A pose for me!

A silly pose for me.

See how big the palm tree are? He really need a ladder to reach up and cut it off.

Palm branch falling down!

The first palm tree he worked at is done. It's looking a whole lot better.

The other two palm trees.

That's the 4th palm tree he's working at.

He has 2 more to work at. The one on his right and the really tall one. That tall one is tooo tall and we probably will have to hire someone to do that or just leave it be.

Everything is soo green and it look like we're living in the jungle. Our home is surrounded by palm trees. Beyond our fence are pine trees. So we're really living in a jungle paradise. We are blessed.

Same pink dress!

Annabelle has a cousin, Sylvia who has the same dress she has. They're only a few months apart. I happened to see Sylvia wearing the same dress and I asked her mom, my sister, Jenny to take a picture of her alone in that dress. She did and I was surprised I was able to "borrow" the picture from her blog so I can have both our girls together next to each other in the same dress. (Jenny, I hope you didn't mind me "borrowing.")

They both are sooo cute and sweet in that pink dress! Such a darling!

From Aunt Jenny

My Dad and step mom Edith just got back from their vacation visiting my sister and her family up in West Virginia. They brought me a box full of clothes for Annabelle and Jonah from my sister. We looked through the clothes and Annabelle was very vocal about the clothes. She keep saying mine, mine, mine and his, his, his. She know what belong to Jonah. We would tease her that Jonah's clothes are really hers. She'd make faces and shrugs. Then I left the box on the dining table after my parents left.

The following morning, I found Annabelle had pulled out the swimming suit and put it on! She was laughing and saying mine, mine. I have a new swimsuit for her but she is not allowed to use it until next year. So I guess she nabbed it preventing me doing the same thing to this swim suit from Aunt Jenny. It fits her well and of course I couldn't do that.

Jonah was crying trying to tell me, he want new swim trunk too. I understood his attempts to convey his request but failing miserably. So I walked to the box (now on the floor and clothes scattered around) and looked around for the swim trunk I saw last night. He was soo happy when I pulled it out for him. He wanted it on and started taking off his PJ.

Happy kids posing in their new swimsuit. Thank You Aunt Jenny!

one of my favorite pictures

These pictures were taken late last October. I put off enlarging them and framing it. Will I ever? Now I'm wondering cuz there's new ones now. LOL! I need to freeze frame my kids so I can enjoy those pictures.

Annabelle's a natural. I truly truly truly love love love this picture. I really do not know why I put off enlarging it.

My threesome babies.

My dear Jonah, he melt my heart. Those big eyes. Those lips. He's kissable, huggable, and squeezable.

Without fail, people always ask us if they're twins. I always say no, they're not. But I can understand why. When they're sitting down next to each other, they look the same size. Jonah is almost as big as Annabelle. Only about 4 to 5 lbs difference in pounds. But in height, it's about a few inches difference.

Sleeping in her underwear!

Yes, dear Annabelle donned the underwear on her head by herself and fell asleep. So adorable!! (age 2 and 9 months)

Bathing time for our dogs

It was a beautiful day and a perfect day to give our dogs, Sandy and Kola a bath. Suzi is difficult to handle so we don't bother with her and she doesn't stink like when Sandy and Kola does. Whew!!

Sandy is first to be bath with little Kola sitting and watching and waiting for her turn. She likes the idea of bathing outside than it is inside. Our wee kids on hand to help.

My dear Senor Isaac smiling with Sandy.

Kola licking bath water. Look like Annabelle is disappointed it's not her in the tub bathing.

Again Senor Isaac smiling with Kola.

Alex and Alexa's wedding day--8/16/2008

It's a year ago, yesterday, we went up to Canada to Alex and Alexa's beautiful outdoor wedding. They've been married a year now and WOW, time sure had flown by. We're wishing them a Happy anniversary!

I thought it was a good time to include the pictures of the wedding. I hope you enjoyed the pictures.

Annabelle was the flower girl at their wedding. She refused to walk by herself and throw the petals. So her cousin Elisa picked her up and helped her throw the petals down the aisle.

Aunt Kathy's yorkie terrier dog was so thirsty that he drank water from the glasses on the table.

Alex and Alexa dancing.

Family members posing for pictures.

Annabelle fast asleep on Uncle Jose's shoulder.

Jonah tired and crying at cousin Isaiah's arm.

It was way past 2 pm before everyone called it quits. It was truly a lovely day!
